The Mission of Kids on the Block of Knoxville is to educate children, as well as the broader community, about health and social concerns that affect their lives. Using puppets and other teaching tools, the Kids on the Block promote understanding and acceptance of all children and adults regardless of their differences. We also empower children by giving them tools to make positive changes in their lives.
Kids on the Block of Knoxville is a non-profit 501c3 organization supporting professional educators who use puppetry to communicate with school children on some of life’s tougher issues. Last year, the Kids gave 419 presentations to more than 25,000 children in the East Tennessee area. All on a very modest budget.
