About the Programs
The Kids on the Block has developed over 40 different programs addressing various disabilities, educational and medical differences and social concerns. Each topic is thoroughly researched and field-tested before it becomes available to schools, community service organizations, hospitals and special interest groups. A complete curriculum accompanies each topic area including scripts, answers to questions children ask, background information on the topic, character biographies, resource materials, follow-up information, and continued support from the KOB National Office.
Each Kids on the Block curriculum includes:

How the Kids on the Block Develops Programs
The Kids on the Block research staff works closely with a sponsoring organization when developing new programs and puppets characters. The development includes:
• extensive research on all topics
• interviews with parents, children, and experts in the field
• creation of realistic puppet characters
• entertaining as well as educational scripted material
• unique follow-up activities
• a thorough resource list and bibliography
• field testing of the program to children from diverse economical and ethnic backgrounds
• endorsement from national organization and educators in the field
